Mission Statement:
The Community Justice & Mediation Center’s mission is to promote a civil and just community through mediation, education and restorative justice.

(Adopted March 29, 2004)

To fulfill this mission, CJAM will:

1. Provide a visible, central organizational hub for conflict resolution activities in Bloomington and Monroe County.
2. Provide mediation, facilitation and other conflict resolution services for individuals, groups, and organizations.
3. Facilitate understanding and collaborative decision-making between community members.
4. Educate the community about conflict resolution and restorative justice.
5. Promote the practice of restorative justice throughout the justice system.
